Factors Influencing Hypoglycemia in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Outpatients with State Health Insurance explores the multifactorial determinants of hypoglycemic events among outpatients diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) who are enrolled in a government-funded health insurance program. Hypoglycemia remains one of the most significant and potentially dangerous complications of antidiabetic therapy. Despite advancements in pharmacological treatment and expanded healthcare access through state health insurance systems, many patients continue to experience hypoglycemic episodes that may compromise treatment outcomes, quality of life, and overall safety. This book examines clinical, pharmacological, and health system–related factors associated with hypoglycemia, including patient characteristics (such as age, duration of diabetes, comorbidities, and lifestyle), patterns of antidiabetic drug use (including insulin and oral agents), medication adherence, and the influence of healthcare coverage on prescribing practices and therapeutic monitoring. Through an evidence-based and analytical approach, this work emphasizes the importance of individualized treatment strategies, comprehensive patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration in minimizing hypoglycemic risk. It serves as a valuable reference for pharmacists, physicians, healthcare professionals, researchers, and students interested in clinical pharmacy, diabetes management, and health policy.
